THE GOLDEN RULE [DO UNTO OTHERS]

Do unto others as you would have them do unto you

If goodness smothers you, well cynicism’s nothing new

So the Golden Rule, makes you feel a fool

That old Golden Rule, which we learnt at school

Do the world a favour

Put the fear to bed

Just give it a waver

Stand in on it’s head

Do unto others as you would have them do unto you

What really bothers you, is fear of what good change can  do

And the Golden Rule, it’s no April Fool

That means as a rule, we go back to school

Do not be a stranger

Huddled up in bed

Soon, we’ll find, I’d wager

Fearfulness has fled

Do unto others as you would have them do unto you
